A first workflow to try
Choose the documents
Start with one contract and its amendments. Keep separate client matters in separate workspaces.
Ask a specific question
What notice period does the contract state, and does an amendment change it? Cite both passages.
Check the answer against the original
Read the full clause and amendment. Check parties, scope, signatures and effective dates yourself; a retrieved passage does not replace legal review.
Do confidential client documents leave the device?
With the bundled models, content stays on your device. If you explicitly approve an external Ollama server, content for the AI functions selected there is sent to that address.
Can I verify every answer down to the source?
Citations open the referenced original passage, including the page for PDFs. Check the claim yourself: a citation does not guarantee that its source supports the answer.
How large a case file can I search?
LokLM is built for large corpora; thousands of pages are indexed and searchable locally.
